Regina's cooking and baking could put any big city restaurant to shame. Not only were there fresh-baked cookies in the coffee nook, but breakfast was divine. One morning I had the pleasure of a German apple custard pancake with a reduced apple cider syrup and bacon, the next was an egg dish with spinach, red and yellow peppers, brimming with parmesan and jarlsberg cheese with a lightly sweetened pumpkin and date scone and sausage links. Both breakfasts came with tea, hot apple cider, and cranberry juice--completely swoonworthy!
Lovely piece of small town history in this charming restored home. Hosts were amazing as was the homemade breakfast! Our room was very comfortable, bed was great and bathroom remodeled in vintage style. Our only regret was not asking to take home another delicious and gluten-free blueberry scone! We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay!
Wonderful place! Comfortable rooms, warm and friendly hosts, and fabulous food! Accommodations and fare outweigh the price....skip the chain hotels, and stay with Fred and Regina!
I have been less relaxed after full days at the spa. A coworker flat out said I floated into the office instead of walked!

I cannot adequately express how much of a delight it was to stay at Winfield West during my latest business trip to Jasper. Although I came for work, Regina and Fred made it feel like a vacation! I'm by nature kind of a nervous person, but their gregarious welcome made me feel like I was visiting old friends. The rooms are beautiful and charming - you can hear a bit of street noise (nothing compared to what I am used to in Chicago, but if you are a very light sleeper, it's something to consider) but the en suites are lovely.
Winfield West is a true and rare treasure. Visitors to Jasper will be lucky indeed!
